Ubisoft announced today that if you pre-order their upcoming title Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood at GameStop, you will earn yourself an extra multiplayer character.
With the details on the down-low, this new additional character has been granted the name Harlequin, Players of Batman Arkham Asylum will remember the name. That’s all that I no, nothing on special abilities, nothing more on multiplayer side. Just a name, and a possible look for this character. Which personally dosen’t even fit into the world of Assassins Creed, this will be a test for the possible extras in AC3 and also i reckon, that AC3 is going to take a few years to finish so this game is being released to make fans happy.
Let me no what you think

Activision announced recently that the second map pack for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is headed to Xbox LIVE on June 3rd. The Resurgence Pack will contain five maps – three new ones and two remakes from Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The two remade maps are Vacant and Strike. The three new maps are Carnival, Trailer Park, and Fuel.
Carnival is a daytime map set in a deserted amusement park, which is very open and rife with sniper spots.
Trailer Park is more maze-like, with tight corridors and obvious choke points.
And Fuel is set in an oil refinery and has two distinct sections that feature both an open sniper area and a close-quarter area.
No word yet on when this will release on the PC or PS3, but when it comes out on the Xbox on June 3rd the Resurgence Pack will cost 1200 Microsoft Points ($14.99). Give us your thoughts, as this is heavily debated that the ardcore dedicated, or the rich fans will pay for this kind of offer. Personally i dont see the point, most servers use the issued maps anyways, like most players never update their game, its money that can be saved for other multiple DLC’s or towards another game.

The next DLC for BioWare’s Mass Effect 2, has been revealed; titled ‘Overlord’, which will be coming out some time in June. The content will feature five levels set across one story on one planet as players seek to destroy some sort of threatening enemy AI.
This new content will not be introducing a new crew members, in fact no more crew members will be added to this installment of the Mass Effect saga via DLC. Look like you’ll have to stap yourself in with the bunch you’ve got now in pursuit for ME3.
As for ‘Overlord’, the DLC will apparently be less linear than prior downloadable content as players will have the ability to utilize the Hammerhead vehicle to explore the planet on which the content takes place.
Will keep you posted on this at its release, as per the last few DLC’s the free play extras have come to an end and i reckon the same is said here. Estimating this will top the price range for ME DLC’s, but only time will tell.

The Halo: Reach Beta has added a new mode for you to play!
Invasion is a multi-segment objective based mode that pits the Spartans against the Elite. The mode is divided into three distinct segments in which the Spartan’s are the defenders and the Elite are on the offense. Each segment has its own objectives and, as the action progresses from section to section, new (and presumably more powerful) weapons will become available.
Along with the addition of this new mode, you will also get to check out a new map called Boneyard. It’s like free DLC for the Beta!! The new additions are available immediately, so better get onto your Xbox and crank this shit out!
The Halo: Reach Beta is scheduled to run until May 19th.

The PC received an update for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 a couple of weeks ago. But it left console players of the game in the dark about theirs. Well console player rejoice, the BFBC 2 update for the PS3 and the Xbox 360 will be available next Tuesday, May 11th.
But here’s a nice little surprise for you: Not only will you be getting all the changes that were made on the PC side, but you will also be getting some extras. Here is the list of the extra changes the console will be getting (don’t worry PC people, these will show up on the PC too):
- The AKs74u now has more felt recoil when aiming
- The G3, VSS, and all Semi-Automatic rifles now settle slightly faster between shots when aiming
- The PKM, Type 88LMG, G3, An94, and 40mm shotgun have returned to their former glory
- Increased the damage of the MG3 to bring it in line with the rest of the LMGs
- Fixed a bug where the Saiga12 with slugs would do too much damage at long range
- Fixed a bug where the SVU would do too little damage at long range
- Fixed a bug where M95 rounds would not kill armored targets with headshots
- Slightly increased the damage of the UZI at long range
Put these changes together with the overhead images for tactical planning, and you should be good to go for another 100 hours of fragging fun!!

Found this article on gametrailers.com today and, well take a read for yourself.
Kotaku has received an image of a game store placeholder box for the next game in the Assassin’s Creed series and Ubisoft has confirmed that it is real. Dubbed Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, the game will feature AC II protagonist Ezio Auditore da Firenze. The image reveals many details for the previously unannounced game, including these words from the back of the box:
“Live and breathe as Ezio, now a legendary master assassin, in his struggle against the Templar order. Lead your own brotherhood of Assassins and strike at the heart of the enemy: Rome. And for the first time, take part in an innovative multiplayer layer allowing you to embody an assassin of your choosing and define their killing style.”
That’s right, the new game includes multiplayer, a franchise first. While this may not be an entirely surprising development, considering the movement in the industry toward including multiplayer in games, it should be interesting to see how this is brought in to the Assassins Creed world. AC II was certainly a game whose single player stood quite well on it’s own, but a multiplayer could be very cool (and very vertical) in 15th Century Italy.
Also included on the box is a release date of Fall 2010 and confirmation that the game will be made for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC (hopefully Ubisoft fixes their ridiculous DRM for the PC version). Viva l’assassino!
Personally i’m a bit worried on how they will organise their multiplayer, but having just finished AC2 I in the assassination vibe and this news has got me even more pumped, specially with a release date the the end of this year!! keep you guys posted

From the creators of Max Pane, Alan Wake, the newest horror game to finally hit the market will this long awaited released yesterday. And by my surprise has something decent to offer.
Obviously you play as Alan, a writer suffering from writer’s block, to combat this he takes his wife to the sleepy, idyllic northwestern town known as Brightfalls. With friendly local and amazing views, this town seems pleasant during the day, by night things do get interesting.
The story is set up in to episodes, similar to TV show, these section put where they won’t you to with cut scenes tying in the gaps between. If only the writing could match the level of the story, you may be not as into the story as the developers would have like with characters that are hard to believe in and some really cheesy lines.
The game is classed as Horror, but plays more like and action game, will a basic assortment of weapon and equipment. It make you really feel like a more realistic game, in the sense that Alan is not a super Spartan or skull bashing super hero and what he can use are a common assortment of items that are typically found in this type setting.

BioWare’s Mass Effect 2 has announced the new ‘Equalizer Pack‘ DLC goes on sale today. The DLC contains the Archon Visor, the Capacitor Helmet and the Inferno Armor and will set you back costs 160 Microsoft or BioWare points (about $2) if you pick it up on either the PC or the Xbox 360.
Here’s a more detailed description for the potential Equalizers amongst you:
Cerberus doesn’t just need a hero – they need a one-man army. That’s why the Equalizer Pack adds the Capacitor Helmet, Archon Visor, and Inferno Armor to Shepard’s armor locker. The Capacitor Helmet stores power for kinetic barriers, allowing Shepard’s shields to recharge faster. The Archon Visor manages omni-tools and biotic amps, reducing the recharge time of Shepard’s powers. The powered Inferno Armor speeds up Shepard’s movements and increases his tech and biotic power damage, additionally stress analysis software even gives him an edge in negotiations outside of combat. The Equalizer — when the armor goes on, the gloves come off.
I just got Mass Effect 2 and log about 30hrs already, i love this game and just starting to get all the DLC’s before ascedning into the Omega 4 relay, this will be an added bonus, for more information hit up the game’s official website.
