According to Activision’s internal sales estimates Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has sold over $1 billion worldwide since it launched in November 10, 2009.
“Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 2 has exceeded our expectations and shattered theatrical box office and video game records,” said Robert Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard. “There are only a handful of entertainment properties that have ever reached the $1 billion mark, which illustrates the power of the Call of Duty franchise and mass appeal of this game.”
This game is hot and they were very smart to put special-ops in.
I have been hearing about this game around the web and thought why not try it out. The graphics and sound are amazing, I am a bit off with the controls but I am sure the more I play the better I will get. I know in the title I said Halo but I read some people were saying Crysis. Gears of War is now available for download from the Games on Demand from Microsoft. The game is only $19.99 but 6gigs of hard drive eating space. If you haven’t played this game yet grab it, it’s one of the games that changed gaming for me. This game came out in 2006, time flies doesn’t it?
Authoring tools and a player software package that will allow for the creation and play of custom Left 4 Dead 2 campaigns for the PC were released.
If you are looking to author a home grown campaign then look here (available via Steam under the Tools heading). And, in case you were wondering, this new update works on mods for the original Left 4 Dead.
Well here you go my fellow gamers, Electronic Arts has released Dante’s Inferno Demo for us to download. You can search for it on Xbox Live or you can queue it up right from here.

“Based on part one of Dante Alighieri’s classic poem “The Divine Comedy”, you play as Dante on his descent through the 9 circles of Hell: limbo, lust, gluttony, greed, anger, heresy, violence, fraud and treachery, on a mission to rescue the soul of his beloved Beatrice. Armed with Death’s Scythe, Beatrice’s Holy Cross and magic powers, battle large scale beasts and bosses, some of which Dante will be able to fully tame to throw back Hell’s wrath to its minions, all at a fluid, fast-paced 60 frames per second.”
This demo is also available on Playstation 3 for download.
According to a source at Engadget someone has completed a survey where has completed a survey for Sony which details services planned for the non-compulsory ‘premium’ PlayStation Network package confirmed by Kaz Hirai.
I would think that PS3 owners who have had the service for free might be disinclined to pay for PSN services, the new scheme does boast an extensive number of new and appealing features. Extended console warranty, beta access, cross-game voice chat, loyalty programs and free access to PSOne Classics.
Again, nothing has been confirmed but it’s a possibility that this could all come about very soon for you PS3′ers.

SouthPeak Games has announced that Dementium II will be released in North America on February 16, 2010 and in Europe on March 5, 2010. I gotta say after playing the first one on my DS I am not looking forward to this one. Not because it’s bad but because it’s creepy!

EA Mobile has recently released Need for Speed SHIFT for the iPhone and iPod touch. Details from EA Mobile:
