His Microsoft bretheren is calling him uninformed and practically disowning him for the quotes he threw out earlier about Windows 7 basing its UI on the Mac OS (http://gizmodo.com/5402589/microsoft-manager-admits-mac-influence-amidst-other-nonsense).
A post on the Windows Blog entitled " How we really designed the look and feel of Windows 7 (http://gizmodo.com/tag/windows7/)" renounces Simon's quotes with a curt, yet harsh line:
I hate to say this about one of our own, but his comments were inaccurate and uninformed.
Well I hate to say it but it does look suspiciously like OSX as did many previous Windows OS's . But the thing that sticks out is that a lot of the features are OSX related. It's the whole copying thing but again, I would be flattered. There are so many Apple/MS fanboys/girls up in arms over this. I am an Apple fangirl but I love it when someone comes in with a Zune or shows me W7 I say oh yeah my itouch/mac did that before these products came out. :P
I like Windows 7, it's clean and small and runs extremely well on my Netbook. Having the best of both worlds is what it's all about if you ask me and if you didn't, I would tell you that anway :P
