Ubisoft just announced a new Prince of Persia title with a rather vague press release…Here it is:
Today Ubisoft announced that Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands video game is in development and is scheduled to be released May 2010 for consoles and handhelds. This new instalment in the critically-acclaimed franchise marks the return to the Prince of Persia Sands of Time storyline. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands will feature many of the fan-favorite elements from the original series as well as new gameplay innovations that gamers have come to expect from the Prince of Persia brand.

Hmmm, so it’s not a sequel to last year’s game, but a continuation of the old series? Interesting.


A trailer for the game is apparently set to debut during the Spike Video Game Awards on Saturday, December 12. We’ll let you know if we come across any new details between now and then.


Found this at GT, and i'm kinda looking forward to it. the return to the original story line is good, to make a sequal outta the first wuld pretty much revolve around the 1st

well considering you had to destroy all the work u did and release arhiman to save elika, i guess a sequal would have to fix that up... again

I'm interested in what concept they come up with and if they stick to the graphic and combat system of the most recent one.

I don't think it's entirely because of that reason. To me, they heard the tans. They tried something new, but fans didn't take to it too well. I wanted the prince, to control time. I liked the last game but the first and second were just so amazing to me, and since then I've felt it go down hill a bit, but it s good to hear they're going back to the basics

I have only played this series once and that was the first one ever released. I remember alot of jumping and being annoyed. Who knew it would set me up for the Assassins Creed series? I might give the 360 version a go. How is it anyway?

it aint out yet, and i cant find alot about the gameplay of it so i dono how it is, lol.

but i guess it'll be a mix of the recent one and the first, i'm guessing have no clue how ubisoft will do this cept for the SoT

in that order, dono y they didn't give a titles to the last one ey. But there good, haven't actually played the SoT so i dono about it, but Warrior Within is good, i felt Two Thrones was a rushed game and the last is some different from the rest which has alot of pros and a few negatives that noticeable
