I might be getting a PS3 for Christmas

My mom agreed and told me that she will buy me a PS3 for Christmas. What game should I get?

what genres do you like? it all depends man. some games I feel you should check out regardless of what you mainly play, uncharted 2, batman arkham asylum, and I dont want to sound like in in 7 million here, but call of duty modern warfare 2 (story mode, special ops, and online, every single second of it is fun). I got more too but if you have any genres you can narrow it down to, Id be glad to throw in some suggestions

i'd go uncharted 2 and maybe new ninja gaiden, thats what i like lol. for FPS borderlands or MW2 i'd say aslong as u play online to get ur moneys worth

I already got it and I just stuck with the well known MW2. I can't open the damn PS3 till christmas. :(

It would have been a mere impulse purchase. You can't use hulu on it, I am not interested in a blu-ray player. Really those two things turn me off I got all I need with my 360 and then some. Maybe it doesn't fail but it's not worth buying for my househould.

killzone 2 is a great shooter, online is a mix of call of duty and team fortress 2. farcry 2, imo, is stellar. it has plenty of flaws, but the sheer level of detail and work put into it really impresses me. bioshock. youve probably played it, but the challenge rooms for ps3 really add a solid 3-4 hours to it, though they are not free.

uncharted 2 is great, but is third person. so is socom. mag is coming out early 2010, that should be amazing, other than that, you got your standard multi plat games, Im really hoping we see a new rainbow six vegas sometime soon

have to say what deterred me from buying the 360 over the ps3 was that the ps3 had a blu ray player, new technology is always good to have even if i dont use it lol and the wireless controllers on the 360 need batteries, dono if thats changed but ps3 controller all have rechargeable internal batteries that last a loooong time

I LOVE IT! Almost to the point that it matches up with the 360. The only thing I don't like about it is its private chat. other than that, its perfect.
