Work in Progress

I know that it is a work in progress here but just a couple of questions:

1. Is a shoutbox planned??

2. Is there a PSP Sub-Section in the works??

3. Is there a downloads database in the future??

I realize things are still getting sorted, just curious.

Good questions :).

1) Yes, we can add a shoutbox if you guys think it would be a good addition. I was planning to do it, its on my list......now wheres my list gone......:p.

2) Sub sections for what? Homebrew, help etc. That kind of thing? If so, I wasn't planning on doing that just yet but, it would make the PSP section easier to navigate so I'd be happy with that. Feel free to set up any sub sections you think we need Gandalf, if Im being a little slow.... :o lol.

3) I'll leave that one to Bex. I liked having a downloads database but, its a lot of work adding the files, took many,many hours last time we did it. I'm sure we can do it though, again, if you think its a good idea :).

Basically, what our members and staff want, we will try our best to add here, no problemo :D.

Yeah shoutbox is on my list too :P. Cept I have two lists, one on notepad and one in me head, shoutbox is head list.

Downloads database, again, yeah that is on my list. I do know it took many many hours before though :S but I think, its a great addition for the forum to have. And was used a lot :).

yeah, the downloads section is awesome, we def need that.

shoutbox is sweet too but I dont find it as necessary, imo, at least at the moment.

but hey, thats just my two cents =D

EDIT: ohh, and I cant fit that psn thing in my signature, the character limit is 100 so maybe if that could be increased? if not, Ill find another way ;)

You know I'm all in for uploading but there is no place to upload to. Need to assign parts of the database to different people to get started on it unless it is easier to just transfer it over.

Shoutbox is up, umm, bigger? U mean more text in the current screen? Can do that but, also need to accommodate low bandwidth users. I'll change it to 30 though, it's on 20 now.

Downloads database....ehh, it's half of one and half of another. It is easier to start a fresh but, it is? :S.

To be honest, I don't know how to transfer it over, I have the files which I could upload, and maybe I could transfer part of the database over, for the downloads but, Im sure i'd have to change the url for every entry.

I haven't installed the downloads database yet but it's next on my list.

Gandalf/Momma Bear, if I get it set up, with the permissions etc, could you create the categories for it?


A general gaming section will be added, along with some other sections, like PC, tech/gadgets but, I need to work out where to fit them in, or let QueenB do it :P.

However you see fit, best. Don't want it to be too similar but, at the same time, if it's a good layout :P. That said, Ive been told a few times it was a bit confusing to navigate.

tech and gadgets would be appreciated, I just got an iphone, Im gonna jailbreak it tomorrow and I could use some advice if people got it =D

Can we have an "announce entry" option to the Download Database, so that everyone can see what we posted?

I thought it was tbh but just checked and no, I read it wrong :o. It's now enabled, it's set to not auto create though and you need to tell it to. But yeah, the options there :).


There's also a general gaming section now and PC section (thanks QueenB). And i've just set up a gadget section :).


Also tds, can you put the PSN tag in ur sig now?

i think it would be cool if we had another page theme or Style with a dark contrast...is that do-able?

and maybe a customizable home page where the visitor message thing is..

a status update would be cool too
