Treyarch

I have been around many different blogs and websites readinng gaming news, I am a gamer after all :) But I see negative things said about Treyarch by the members and commentv left by people on blogs.

Can someone explain to me why there is beef with them?

well, in my opinion, theyre trying to ride the coat tails of infinity ward. and theyre good enough developers (treyarch), but copying IW's engine to use for WW2, and not really doing too much innovation (save the awesome nazi zombies mode), rereleased it as another game. I dont hate them, but I just kind of find them to be the younger brother who copies older brother and says "I can do that too"

Oh so they are basically like everyone else in the world? I don't know if that's hate worry in my book, annoying but hate is too strong.

Well no one else goes crying to activision for the engine (not copying the ideas or gameplay, they were also the younger sibling that whined to mommy). Using the unreal engine is different than getting your publisher to pass you the engine

I still don't get it. I could whine all day that MS copied Apple with the visuals and applications in Vista and especially in Windows 7. I see what you are saying but I guess I'm just not that passionate about it. And little brothers always whine, so do little sisters ;) How do you think I got my way growing up :P

I'm a little brother too so I know what you mean :p I guess because I'm buying so many games and barely have the money to afford them, I don't want barely worked on sequels or in this case stolen engines. But I don't really hate treyarch, I just find them lazy. My main beef is probably the fact that it's world war 2, I mean come on, that's soooo 1942

LOL!!! Now that is funny, but I like the WWII stuff :o I really do. I liked the MW and will be playing MW2 soon, but I am fascinated with WWII. I watch all the tv stuff and yeah even Angela is sick of me :o

Same here, I watch all the WWII tv stuff on "THE Channels", and my wife is sick of me too....lol

It's weird, I love WW2 movies and docs, but I just can't get into the games. Saving private ryan remains to this day as one of my favorites
