Switching from 5.00m33 and 4.01m33 Easily using Helcats Recovery flasher.

This is now extremely relevant since the discovery that the new decrypted games that do not work on 5.00m33 will work on 4.01m33 and for those of us that do not want to run the GEN firmware this is a blessing. Using this app you make a nand backup of your firmware at 4.01m33 and 5.00m33 and easily switch between the 2 without the need of a pandora battery.

This has been posted before but not with a complete ready to use download..
Download this:http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0RJFMG0Gunrar and place the RECOVERY folder in PSP\GAME.
Go to Games and run this app, when on the main menu of this app scroll down and select "Backup Flash content". I'm assuming that you are on 5.00m33-6, this will make a backup of your PSP at 5.00m33-6(except for settings). Select "create new backup set" and let it run, it will create a listing called "Backup-001".

Back on the Main Menu scroll down to "Flash new 4.01m33-2" and run do not select save settings as they will not work between the 2 firmwares. After it is finished flashing restart and after resetting settings go back to this app and when on the main menu of this app scroll down and select "Backup Flash content". You are now on 4.01m33-2, this will make a backup of your PSP at 4.01m33-2(except for settings). Select "create new backup set" and let it run, it will create a listing called "Backup-002".

Now to switch between the 2 you only have to open the Recovery flasher app, on Main Menu scroll down to "Flash/Restore complete FW from backup". Backup-001 should be 5.00m33-6 and Backup-002 should be 4.01m33-2.

All this runs from the normal XMB and not the Recovery Menu altho can ber run from the recovery menu.
Reminder: After changing firmwares always press SELECT and in the VSH Menu change the UMD ISO Mode to "m33 driver". This always defaults back to normal after the firmware change, if you get the "Game Could Not Be Started" message then you forgot to change the setting. All settings will have to be reset(Nickname, time zone, network settings...etc) after the flash.
You can now enjoy the running of the new games without going to a GEN firmware. Also might add that any gamesaves made with the 5.00m33-6 will show corrupt in 4.01m33-2, the game works fine but the gamesaves will not.
