ME2_OverLord_DLC
The next DLC for BioWare’s Mass Effect 2, has been revealed; titled ‘Overlord’, which will be coming out some time in June. The content will feature five levels set across one story on one planet as players seek to destroy some sort of threatening enemy AI.

This new content will not be introducing a new crew members, in fact no more crew members will be added to this installment of the Mass Effect saga via DLC. Look like you’ll have to stap yourself in with the bunch you’ve got now in pursuit for ME3.

As for ‘Overlord’, the DLC will apparently be less linear than prior downloadable content as players will have the ability to utilize the Hammerhead vehicle to explore the planet on which the content takes place.

Will keep you posted on this at its release, as per the last few DLC’s the free play extras have come to an end and i reckon the same is said here. Estimating this will top the price range for ME DLC’s, but only time will tell.

ME2_EqualizerDLC
BioWare’s Mass Effect 2 has announced the new ‘Equalizer Pack‘ DLC goes on sale today. The DLC contains the Archon Visor, the Capacitor Helmet and the Inferno Armor and will set you back costs 160 Microsoft or BioWare points (about $2) if you pick it up on either the PC or the Xbox 360.

Here’s a more detailed description for the potential Equalizers amongst you:

Cerberus doesn’t just need a hero – they need a one-man army. That’s why the Equalizer Pack adds the Capacitor Helmet, Archon Visor, and Inferno Armor to Shepard’s armor locker. The Capacitor Helmet stores power for kinetic barriers, allowing Shepard’s shields to recharge faster. The Archon Visor manages omni-tools and biotic amps, reducing the recharge time of Shepard’s powers. The powered Inferno Armor speeds up Shepard’s movements and increases his tech and biotic power damage, additionally stress analysis software even gives him an edge in negotiations outside of combat. The Equalizer — when the armor goes on, the gloves come off.

I just got Mass Effect 2 and log about 30hrs already, i love this game and just starting to get all the DLC’s before ascedning into the Omega 4 relay, this will be an added bonus, for more information hit up the game’s official website.

MassEffect2_kasumi-04-o

Today BioWare sent word that the upcoming Mass Effect 2 DLC, Kasumi – Stolen Memory, has been priced and is on track for a release in April. The price of the new content is 560 Microsoft points or $7, even if you are a member of the Cerebrus Network, making it the first DLC in the game to be charged for separate from the Network. The content looks to provide a similar amount of play time as the previously delivered downloadable missions, except of course you get a new character to join your team. Who, judging by the picture looks pretty awesome, nice stealthy assassin?

You can check out a montage of game play from the DLC here and fresh screens here to help determine whether or not you want to purchase the content. Is it about time BioWare started charging for some of this DLC or should the Stolen Memory content have been included in the Cerebrus Network like everything else? Players who have purchased this DLC please comment to let others know of its strengths and weakness.

In my opinion a new character is always a worthwhile purchase, and for $7 you could always get something worse for more, the day I get Mass Effect 2 I will be downloading all available DLC’s before starting the game. (Thanks to gametrailers.com for links)

me2_dlc

IGN posted on their website today that they have learned that BioWare will be releasing more DLC for Mass Effect 2. The upcoming DLC will feature a new character, Kasumi, a stealthy vixen of the female persuasion that you will meet at the Citadel. Did the Captain order some strange? A new potential flame emerges, the aroma of jealous I smell perhaps. Here’s hoping for a cat fight.

The Kasumi content will add about an hour and a half of game play as well as some new items and you will be able to access it regardless of where you are in the story.

As a matter of note, this DLC marks the first one that Bioware will be charging for – even if you are a member of the Cerberus Network. While there is no indication as to how much BioWare intends to charge for the content, we do know that it will be available for download on April 6thfor Xbox and PC.

Charging for DLC, how disappointing. You had as on the hook Bioware, with your free DLC’s, new armour, weaponry even access to a vehicle and then, BAM! Slaps us down with a possible new character to spice up your team, but there’s a catch, there always is.

ME2_CerberusArmor

BioWare has sent word that gamers taking a break from hitting on Miranda will be able to get the new Cerberus Assault Armor and M-22a Eviscerator Shotgun DLC for free through the Cerberus network within Mass Effect 2. The content should be available for all fans, both on PC and Xbox 360, at 12:00pm Mountain Standard Time.

Cerberus Assault Armor

Cerberus assault armor is designed for shock troops, turn the tide of battle against creatures or forces that would decimate normal soldiers.
Increases heavy weapon ammo capacity by +10%
Increases shields by +10%
Increases health by +10%

M-22a Eviscerator Shotgun

The M-22a Eviscerator Shotgun is a longer-range shotgun with armor-piercing loads. This design also violates several intergalactic weapons treaties, so the M-22a is not distributed to militaries.

(from gametrilers.com)

Personally, if players have done their 100+ hrs and extra play throughs, and delved into all possible depths of the story i dont think armour is gonna bring them back to a game they have put down. But you never no, at least this is a sign of a future of DLC to come, big or small it may still keep this game running for those insane fans that have already finished it… MB lol :P
