Activision announced recently that the second map pack for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is headed to Xbox LIVE on June 3rd. The Resurgence Pack will contain five maps – three new ones and two remakes from Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The two remade maps are Vacant and Strike. The three new maps are Carnival, Trailer Park, and Fuel.
Carnival is a daytime map set in a deserted amusement park, which is very open and rife with sniper spots.
Trailer Park is more maze-like, with tight corridors and obvious choke points.
And Fuel is set in an oil refinery and has two distinct sections that feature both an open sniper area and a close-quarter area.
No word yet on when this will release on the PC or PS3, but when it comes out on the Xbox on June 3rd the Resurgence Pack will cost 1200 Microsoft Points ($14.99). Give us your thoughts, as this is heavily debated that the ardcore dedicated, or the rich fans will pay for this kind of offer. Personally i dont see the point, most servers use the issued maps anyways, like most players never update their game, its money that can be saved for other multiple DLC’s or towards another game.

The first DLC for Modern Warfare 2 has now hit Xbox Live. The Stimulus Map pack gives you five new maps to play. Well, three are new anyway. Crash and Overgrown from the first Modern Warfare game are included in the pack, along with Salvage, Bailout and Storm.
The map pack costs 1200 points and is available to download for Xbox Live users now. PS3 and PC players of Modern Warfare 2, will have to wait a couple more weeks before the DLC hits those game versions. For those who download, Infinity Ward are offering players double XP this weekend (April 2nd – 4th) while playing.

The first DLC for Modern Warfare 2 is headed to Xbox 360 on March 30th and I’ve got some screenshots and details for you guys (thanks to gametrailers.com). Of the five new multiplayer maps Bailout, Storm, and Salvage are new, while Crash and Overgrown are making a return appearance from the original Modern Warfare. The DLC will set you back 1200 MS Points or $15 bucks when it debuts later on PS3 and PC. Check out the EBA Gallery for the five new screens showing off each of the new maps.
There is alot of discussion on whether this is a fair price or not, i doubt these maps will get used alot as most people wont pay that much, like the patch updates for MW1, no one on PC ever updated and if you did you’d lose access to some fo the best servers available. Personally I’m not a online shooter player, so I wont hesitate in rejecting this offer, not unless i had a extremely better internet plan, i got really into online play and if i join a clan that is going to use them on regular basis.

Robert Bowling, community strategist extraordinaire for Infinity Ward, posted a link on his Twitter feed that leads to a website which all but says that Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be getting its first Map Pack on March 30, 2010 – if you own an Xbox 360. A few minutes later, the good Mr. Bowling Tweeted that the DLC will be released on the PS3 and PC at ” a — yet to be announced — later date.”
Its unclear around the gaming frame why this kind of advertisement will get more kits than a press release but, while the ad offers no details regarding the maps, it does say to check back soon for more information. So perhaps there is more than meets the eye to this not so sly reveal. Who knows what is to following better yet what thet’re playing at, but to say the least, all Modern Warfare 2 player get ready for some content headed your way

According to Activision’s internal sales estimates Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has sold over $1 billion worldwide since it launched in November 10, 2009.
“Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 2 has exceeded our expectations and shattered theatrical box office and video game records,” said Robert Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard. “There are only a handful of entertainment properties that have ever reached the $1 billion mark, which illustrates the power of the Call of Duty franchise and mass appeal of this game.”
This game is hot and they were very smart to put special-ops in.

Tired of shooting Nazi’s well MOH Reboot is for you. It’s due next year for the usual platforms; more info will be revealed at the Spike TV Video Game Awards December 12th at 8pm. The game, to be set in Afghanistan, is said to be inspired by “real events”. Real events, could they be talking about Modern Warfare 2 sales at all here?
I will play this when it comes out and I am expecting it to be tough. But I would like to quote Nicolas Deleon of CrunchGear:
The question now becomes, how long till we’re tired of the modern setting? I think we’ve all shot our fair share of Nazis in various video games over the years, but how long till we’re bored shooting nondescript “ultra-nationalists,” “separatists,” or any other word but, gasp, “terrorist?”
I think he sums it up for me pretty well.

Well you were warned about cheating and they have banned the ones that were caught. On the 27th a Twitter announcement was made confirming this. I guess we can wonder why people cheat but really they do and always will. I don’t get cheating against other people though as you are telling me you really aren’t that good to begin with.
2,500 though? That seems like a small number to me as I am sure there are more out there, I guess their turn will come.
